I don't think it is efficient to make a double step here. If the options
menu is to be reworked, I would do it only with Tk 8.5, and once for all.

With the experience I now have with migrating Scid Pocket from Tk 8.4 to
8.5, I can say it is not such a hard task to do, and ending with something
more user-friendly brings enough satisfaction to be motivated in the task.
