Sounds a good idea. Maybe this could also switch to the
analyis mode Roy asked for?

I think its done as I do it in CC. Go to the end of the
game, ctrl-a redo the last half move and just add the
variation there. The only nasty thing is that one has to
redo the last half move, but well.

Well, scid has so many options, one more or less ;)
