Well as far as I got him here on the list it should make it to the cvs and be 
in one of the next releases. Therefore, I see no real point in not committing 
them to cvs, especially if you have the time to fix any errors or bugs that 
might appear. Having them in cvs will make it easier for the others here on the 
list to test it and probably find bugs if there are any.

Roy: can you handle cvs? If so, I'd just commit Giorgios changes and you can 
see whether they solve your needs and probably ask for further adoption if 
needs arrise.
