Hello Alexander,

1. You suggest we add another sample database. I was thinking of a
collection of Morphy's games. Is it ok, or do someone has a better idea ?

2. If we need another database, then we would need to separate both from
Scid. Thinking about it, it's even important to do so, if we are to give a
database that is incorrectly formatted.

3. If we provide database, do we put that on SF ? If yes, how so ?

4. There are things to be said about :

  [Event "Candidates Tournament"]
> [Site "Zurich SUI"]
> [Date "1953.08.30"]
> [Round "1"]
> [White "Averbakh, Yuri L"]
> [Black "Smyslov, Vassily"]
> [Result "1/2-1/2"]
> [ECO "C97k"]
> [EventDate "1953.08.30"]
> [PlyCount "64"]
> [Source "ChessBase"]
> [SourceDate "1999.07.01"]
> [Ref "Bronstein: Zurich International Chess Tournament 1953(en), No. 4
> p.6"]

I will reserve my constructive comments for another time. I will only say
that the last line looks ugly to me.

5. As you suggest, I will try to explain how to use the search features,
and to use the maintenance facilities. Some blurb would be needed to
motivate the importance of uniformisation.

6. You underline a very important problem : names' translations. I suppose
we let Franz take all these decisions, as long as it agrees with FIDE's
data.

Regards,

B
