Just some random immediate observations for your ToFix list as they just came to me when using current cvs. Maybe you're aware of them yourself. Tried to switch it to check, it got a hook, but it does not persist. There lacks a line to hook up with "automatically save options". > Windows can be moved, merged into existing tabs, undocked > ... (right mouse button + drag and drop of tabs). Where is F12/Ctrl-F12 gone??? This shortcut is used for correspondence window. In untabbed mode (classical so to say) I get all my windows minimized if I switch the desktop but they're not brought to front again once I come back. I get pretty strange placements of the main window in classic mode. That is it is not moved to its position where I left it. Resizing the main window vertically no longer scales the information area but just adds unused empty space below it. If I use the tabbed mode, window resizing seems broken. Ie. in tabbed mode I need to resize the main window horizontally as well, this is not possible (yet). It should recalc the size of the main window from the dimension of the overall window and ignore teh board size settings in this mode. Tab sizes and Options/Chessboard/Size are currently in destructive interference. I tried to reproduce your setup. The navigation of the tabs is yet quite difficult, especially to guess where they open up (there is some kind of focus that is not visible to the user) and what left/right/top/bottom means. If a window was once set to "top" I can not set it to any other direction at all. I think also d&d of a tab should get some visible notification (and if only the mouse cursor changes). The current drop target seems only to be next to the tab where one wants to add the tab. This is a bit strange. The size of the (then single) window requires this window to be resizeable in either direction. Comment editor seems broken: can't read "::board::_mark(.board)": no such element in array can't read "::board::_mark(.board)": no such element in array while executing "set ::board::_mark($board) $::board::_mark(.board)" (procedure "::commenteditor::Open" line 137) invoked from within "::commenteditor::Open" (procedure "makeCommentWin" line 7) invoked from within "makeCommentWin" invoked from within ".main.#menu.#menu#windows invoke active" ("uplevel" body line 1) invoked from within "uplevel #0 [list $w invoke active]" (procedure "tk::MenuInvoke" line 50) invoked from within "tk::MenuInvoke .main.#menu.#menu#windows 1" (command bound to event) Hardware connect button is broken (I've to check what you changed here, I'll repair this.) Concerning the "tab" as such, I think it is pretty obsolete and just requires space. Maybe moving tabs by clicking into the "window" would be better. -- Kind regards, / War is Peace. | Freedom is Slavery. Alexander Wagner | Ignorance is Strength. | | Theory : G.
