Hi, I worked a lot on a World Chess Championship base including related events (Candidates, …).
- Took the games from http://www.mark-weeks.com/chess/wcc-indx.htm contained in 113 zip files (hopefully I got all af them). - Corrected *all* the players names, event, sites spelling by looking at several websites for accurate information one file at a time for limited dates and events. - It contains 11,555 games with no twins in 263 events (Tournament Finder window), from 1834 until 2009 - I added the Source tag to all games It should be quiet complete (hopefully) I think it is very clean. I guess that we should use it for CentriScid. Anyone interested? Charly PS ratings_2009_04_08.ssp needs a little modification: Ambiguous: "Wen, Yang" >> "Yang, Wen Chin" (2) 1989.??.??-- Ambiguous: "Zhao, Jun" >> "Jun, Zhao" (10) 1986.??.??-- If doing the change I'll get the reverse thing as both side names are in the file. Wen, Yang and Zhao, Jun are supposed to be the correct ones. If I remember well : Adams, M isn't automatically changed to Adams, Michael, I had to use the Name Editor and do it by hand. There were other issues with some sites name but unfortunately I didn't take note of them. This file has been very helpful and I had to open it in my text editor to do some search (it is a big file (over 23 MB), I was looking for Players tittle and elo to check if they can be in a WCC match. As I mentioned earlier, it would be nice to see this information (tittle, elo) in the Spellcheck Result window. ie Player name, title, elo, date. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: High Quality Requirements in a Collaborative Environment.
