Same "region": maybe one should not switch the base at the end of the 
search if there are 0 hits.

E.g. if I have a position and 3 larger bases open. I search in base 1 
and get no hit, I'd most likely try to check base 2 and 3 for the same 
postion.

Similar: auto update of a tree window should probably be disabled once 
the 0 games limit is reached. Imagine a large reference db and you just 
lost any reference game. You move on, currently scid will research the 
whole ref db though it is obvious from the start to yield 0 hits. 
(Currently, this is a bit annoying with my large db, when I forget to 
switch of auto update. It just takes quite a bit to search through this 
"monster".)

I've no idea about tree search internals, but searching only in the 
current filter could probably also avoid this problem. Difficulties 
might arise if the user switches to another game with a completely other 
position where a search from scratch is necessary.
