Thanks for responding Rafael, OK, here is what I did with Scid: Opened a database and loaded clipboard. Then opened Tree Window and set up an opening. Then I did and Opening Report which has the "View LaTex" button at bottom. When I click on "View LaTex" nothing happens. No error messages-nothing. I use Ubuntu(9.04) and had loaded from repositories texlive and the chess fonts pkg tex-chess(fonts known as "chess12") I think the problem is probably the files loaded by package manager(Synaptic) are not in correct directories, but I don't know how to set that up.
