With Robbolito, parts of its logic has been taken by disassembling other
engines as noted on its webpage. The accusation is not that it is a rybka clone
as much as it is a clone of the logic present in a bunch of closed source
engines. There is also no author who claims to be responsible for robbolito,
increasing the probability that it has less than honorable origin.

Quick answers to the points below:
1. It is possible to convert assembly code to C in a closed source program.
Requires a smart hacker to reconstruct the pieces well though.
2. Not sure about this.
3 and 4. It might be a clone of a few engines. However, I think the hacker also
improved the logic in the process. This implies a very smart person is behind
it.

Sorry, but without any explanation this accusation seems bizarre to me:
1. Rybka is not Open Source, RobboLito is. How is it possible to create open
source program from closed source one?
2. Let's even assume that the code was stolen from Rybka's developer computer.
But, Robbolito is 19.000 lines of code with variables in Italian. Does anybody
assume that they took the code and translate all variable names into Italian?
3. If this is Rybka clone, why it seems to defeat Rybka in matches. Does
anybody suggest that somebody can easily improve the software that was
developed for years, just because he acquired the source?
4. Again, if this is Rybka clone, why so much difference in primary variation?
In time of finding best moves (I have examples where Robbolito finds the best
move 5 times faster)?

I am not saying this is not possible, I would just like to see any kind of
proofs.
