And additionally the current help says:

  the Clear, Revert and Store buttons. You do not need to press the
  Store button to update a comment; it is automatically updated whenever

If auto-storing is not enabled and the comment is changed then a popup
dialog Store/Discard/Continue should be shown.

For me yes, but:

I couldn't find the corresponding ChangeLog entries, can you remember
some examples of the problems?

It is also a bit confusing that changes in annotation symbols are
applied immediately without having to press the Store button.
