As the comment editor is actually meant to be left open, I'm not sure if
you want to close it all the time. One idea I'm playing with on both of
these issues.

What if the comment gets stored as soon as the comment editor looses
it's focus? The focus gets lost as soon as you move to another window or
close the window. The revert function, however, would work only as long
as you stay in the comment editor.

Is binding to ctrl-left/ctrl-right ok? It doesn't make sense to use
left/right alone as you'd need them for editing (at least till we get
decent vi-keybindings ;)

I usually use Alt-Tab to just switch windows back and forth so this
point never occured to me, I admit.

I admit I usually press Ctrl-A to add the variation go to the comment
editor and then move on. Now, if I add the above ctrl-left/ctrl-right
bindings does this address your needs already?

Another way which is easily done is to enable ctrl-a in the comment
editor. This would give you a new variant and as you are in the comment
editor you can insert your text right away, resulting in a pre move comment.

Well it inserts a Tab char. Wouldn't be some other key better than tab?
Say Alt-n toggling between both input fields? (n like next?)

I have to admit I do not understand the behaviour here. It is actually
set to follow this movement and it works if you start out with a
vertically maximised window but not if you use other starting sizes.
Strange.

I've added a toggle-switch for this board by Alt-B as well as a nice
button for the function in case one wants to use the mouse.

Please let me know if this would be satisfactory. I've committed this to
cvs so you can check it out in real life.
