Hi

Sound on SCID is disabled because the Snack audio package could not be
found at startup. So we find out that snack is some kind of TCL audio
package. What the hell, I'll just install it. But I get message that
it can't install because it can't find wish. Now I think that I could
install some windows tcl package that would probably have all this crap
in it. But then I decide no I am sorry the joke is over. Why should I
have to install a development platform to hear a beep on my computer

I used only use scid on linux and never had problems. But this
machine is laptop running windows 7. I know that it has sound
capability. And I actually only use sound to let me know an opponent
has moved in FICS mode or when practicing against an engine. But I
would like it to work

The clearly must be a simpler solution. How do I get sound to work
with on scid? Version 4.4 March 2013

Thank you

Tom
