Hi Fulvio and all, I've been working lately on a set of patches for autoconf and I'm glad to say that they are >90% done. I've tested them on Linux (gcc), Freebsd (clang) and Windows XP(mingw) and I've got successful builds there. The install target is not finished but build should work at least for "scid".
The autoconf patches do not include your latest updates; in fact those updates triggered me to clean-up and ask all of you for a review. I want to find out about any broken builds and impressions before submitting the final version. If you guys want to help here's what you can do: $ git clone https://github.com/crististm/scid.git $ cd scid $ git checkout autotools $ ./configure $ make $ ./scid If you see any problems, record them before attempting any fix and send them to me. Those are the problems most people will see. I can't test on Macs so any feedback on those is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cristian S.
