To complete Fulvio's answer, to add a comment before the very *first* move
of a game:
- load a game in the Main board
- go back to before the first move ***using the arrows under the Main board*

- open the Comment editor
- add text and store it
You can't do that using the PGN window or the keyboard arrows, since the
"cursor" stays focused on a move. Proof of concept:
