according to
http://bkhome.org/woof/
the puppy build system "woof" supports ARCH packages, which IMHO may be the way
to go.
One might try to compile a very simple thing in a puppy with woof and then
venture on to scidb later.
try a very simple tcl/tk project from e.g. sourceforge. But if I wanted to do
such a thing, I would start out with the latest Manjaro on a USB thumbdrive,
which gives you much better capabilities than puppy will ever deliver. Tho
puppy is cool too.
Kaissa@... , ure still with us ?   ;-)
