The White House and the National Science Foundation are accepting nominations for outstanding K-12 math and science teachers. The Presidential Award includes a $7,500 National Science Foundation grant to the awardee's school to be spent under the awardee's direction over a five-year period to improve school math and science programs. The awardee and a guest will also receive an expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. for a series of events including an awards ceremony with a presidential citation, and meetings with leaders in government and education. The application deadline is February 12, 2001.
