PROMISING AND EXEMPLARY PROGRAMS IN SCIENCE (1-2001)

Purpose:
The purpose of the Expert Panel on Mathematics and Science Education is to
oversee a valid and viable process for identifying and designating
promising and exemplary programs in mathematics and science so that
practitioners can make better-informed decisions in their ongoing efforts
to improve the quality of student learning in mathematics and science. The
Panel is composed of 14 experts in mathematics or science from around the
country. It includes academics, association representatives, regional lab
representatives, and practitioners.

Promising and Exemplary Programs:

2001 Exemplary and Promising Science Programs-The Department and the
Expert Panel on Mathematics and Science Education have identified two
exemplary and seven promising science programs.
