GRADUATE TEACHING AND RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIPS
IN SCIENCE EDUCATION
The University of Virginia Curry School of Education seeks qualified
applicants to the Science Education graduate program. Teaching and
research assistantships are available. Teaching assistantships, available
for those individuals with science teaching experience at the elementary,
middle, or high school levels, involve working with science methods and
practicum classes and/or the supervision of student teachers. Research
assistantships may involve work on a variety of externally funded
projects. The Science Education program has close ties to the Educational
Technology program area within the Curry School of Education. Exciting
research projects are focused on meaningful uses of technology in science
teaching and learning, the preparation and professional development of
elementary, middle school, and high school science teachers, as well as
the adaptation of science reform programs. The Curry School offers the
M.Ed., Ed.D., and Ph.D. in Science Education.IN SCIENCE EDUCATION

We will accept applications for Fall 2001 until June, 2001. However, applicants who wish to be considered for full financial aid opportunities must submit materials by February 15, 2001.
