Hi Robert,

for PSI I have rebuilt firefox without Patch36
(firefox-1.5-pango-justified-range.patch).
You may want to try out these RPMs.

For SL5:
http://linux.web.psi.ch/dist/scientific/5/psi/all/firefox-1.5.0.12-7.1.slp5.i386.rpm
http://linux.web.psi.ch/dist/scientific/5/psi/all/firefox-1.5.0.12-7.1.slp5.x86_64.rpm

For SL4:
http://linux.web.psi.ch/dist/scientific/4/psi/all/firefox-1.5.0.12-0.8.1.slp4.i386.rpm
http://linux.web.psi.ch/dist/scientific/4/psi/all/firefox-1.5.0.12-0.8.1.slp4.x86_64.rpm

Please let me know, if these RPMs solve your problem.

        Urs
