Hi,
Can you check and see if the latest firefox errata fixed this problem.
       Hi,

no, same problem. For example with the URL:

       http://tmp.sauvonslarecherche.fr/spip.php?article1736

the print preview is OK but if you print it (or "print to file")
you only got the first column of the main text.

Hi Robert,

for PSI I have rebuilt firefox without Patch36 (firefox-1.5-pango-justified-range.patch).
You may want to try out these RPMs.

For SL5:
http://linux.web.psi.ch/dist/scientific/5/psi/all/firefox-1.5.0.12-7.1.slp5.i386.rpm
http://linux.web.psi.ch/dist/scientific/5/psi/all/firefox-1.5.0.12-7.1.slp5.x86_64.rpm

For SL4:
http://linux.web.psi.ch/dist/scientific/4/psi/all/firefox-1.5.0.12-0.8.1.slp4.i386.rpm
http://linux.web.psi.ch/dist/scientific/4/psi/all/firefox-1.5.0.12-0.8.1.slp4.x86_64.rpm

Please let me know, if these RPMs solve your problem.

       Yes it does :)
       Thank you very much Urs.

I had also tried to export MOZ_DISABLE_PANGO=1
without success before I installed your version.

Well, I was talking on the install on my home desktop Dell
Precison 390 but I just install the same version on my laptop
Dell C810 and it does not work as expected :((

I don't understand because they both are SL4.5.

You can see the generated postscript files here :

       ftp://ftp.lmd.jussieu.fr/pub/robert/SL/slr_desktop.ps good
       ftp://ftp.lmd.jussieu.fr/pub/robert/SL/slr_laptop.ps bad

Something seems to be different on these two systems.
Are they really equal? For example compare

# rpm -qa | grep pango
# rpm -qa | grep firefox
# rpm -qa | sort

But in fact, I have no idea ...

Urs
