Using wine is a bit tricky, but many games do work well.

I suggest that you look in
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&sTitle=Browse%20Applications&sOrderBy=appName&bAscending=true

there, you'll find which version of wine (if any) works for each app, and
instructions to make things work (if needed)

to install wine ? well, depending on the game you want to run, you might
have to choose a different wine version (some work with 1.0.10 but not
1.0.20, and some, the other way around)
