Hello,
We are putting qemu-kvm, libguestfs and all their dependencies into
testing
so that people can test things out before they going into the
security
errata repository next week.
In order for this update to take effect, you have to shut down all
your
virtual machines. After all the virtual machines are completely
shut down,
start them up again for this update to take effect.
We plan on pushing this security update out on Wednesday, July 6,
2011.
To test or update
SL6
-------
yum --enablerepo=sl-testing install update qemu\*
yum --enablerepo=sl-testing install update "*guest*"
I have updated the packages (the "install" was omitted) on an SL 6.0
kvm host and rebooted the machine to be sure. Everything seems to be
working without any trouble. Tested the guests with virt-viewer as
well as with spice. No issue encountered.
I can confirm that. I installed SL6.1 Beta 1 with KVM on my Workstation
and everything works perfectly.
Best regards,
Morten
