another session of google gave me
http://askubuntu.com/questions/79318/how-can-i-switch-users-from-within-xfce
quote:
"Note: The next version of XFCE, 4.10, will include a Switch User button in
the Actions plugin, and deprecate the session
menu<https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8358#c1>
."
Guys haven't updated the schedule on the wiki tho. but in their blog (
http://blog.xfce.org/) they did, so 4.10 ( or rather 4010) will be released
@ the end of April. If this holds true, than i guess that it will hit us in
a month in the form of rpms.

at the same time, according to
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=524413
"Fedora Update System 2009-10-06 06:11:16 EDT

xfce4-xfswitch-plugin-0.0.1-1.fc11 has been pushed to the Fedora 11 stable
repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug
report."

but when i search in the current repos nothing comes up... Why ?

Solution:
 got the source from
http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/15/Everything/source/SRPMS/xfce4-xfswitch-plugin-0.0.1-3.fc15.src.rpm

 recompiled it - no issues.
added a new item to the panel -"User switching".

I just observed that when i switch the user, the original session
remains open. From one perspective it's odd, but if i think about it -
it's awesome.

thank you
Andrew
