problem with start of SL6

Hi Everyone, I would like to know how can I start my SL6 .... I have windows 
and SL6 in my pc ... and today I could not running SL6, it stop for ever on the 
black screen when i select SL6.... if I choose windows it run well without 
problem ... I do not know how can I recover my linux ... or save the files I 
have there. Please someone tell me what can I do ... I am not an expert but I 
can follow instrutions if you explain to me. Thanks a lot, Cata
