Jesus Christ! Don't look a dog in the eyes, but do look a shark in the eyes. Hit a shark, but don't hit a dog. Amazing how many old wives' tales and country folklore got it wrong! As far as being still when attacked by a dog, does that apply to wild animals like bear and mountain lions? I remember seeing old cartoons where the character would play dead when chased by a bear, and the animal then buries the "dead" person. Only 10 out of 17 for me.
