At least the old movies were funny camp. The ones about killer frogs
("Frogs"), bugs ("Bugs"), spiders ("Kingdom of the Spiders"), etc., were all so
corny. It was great to see guys and girls with big hair running in their
too-tight Britannia jeans from crazed giant ants! Or to see "Love Boat"
regulars eaten alive by giant spiders! Also, as bad as the FX were back
then--creatures grafted onto the film to appear larger than they were--I
actually prefer that to the horrible CGI SciFi Originals use. At least the old
things were *real* creatures. Most of Scifi's movie monsters look worse than
CGI on a five-year old video game.
