You know what exemplifies and symbolizes all that's wrong with this? The fact that the word "blockbuster" is now applied to movies *before* they even hit theatres! Remember when  movie only earned that name *after* it made a certain amount of dough? But now, listen to any reporter covering a movie release, and they will speak of the "upcoming blockbusters".
It's sad because it's more and more a review-proof system where big stars plus big money plus big CGI plus big noise equals big box office, even though quality may suck. That's why Smith is doing all these unnecessary sequels and prequels. It's why "Transformers 2" is  almost universally panned as even crappier than its braindead predecessor, but still did lots of dough.

Yea I noticed that too. Apparently Hollywood doesn't know how to make new projects.

Old Boy is missing from the list. I did check Chan-wook Park's bio and he is working on Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. Maybe they changed their mind on Old Boy?
