Hi all,

The GSoC coding phase has officially started. As Gael requested
earlier it would be good to use the mailing list to publicize the
progress of the 3 projects. Furthermore the PSF expects GSoC students
to blog weekly on their achievements. It would be good if the links to
those blog posts could be posted on the mailing list as we go to fuel
the discussion and get feedback from other scikit-learn community
members. Furthermore I think it would be good to include code
snippets, links to branches or pull requests or outputs (text or
plots) of experimentation scripts to those posts so that lazy reader
will be able to follow the details without having to fetch the
branches are run the code manually.

So how are our students doing? any first report to publish for this first week?
