I attempted to install 0.14.1 via MacPorts, but it aborts because
the downloaded tarfile image is failing its checksum.
MacPorts expects scikit-learn-0.14.1.tar.gz to have a sha256 of:
4c317cabb56c61f4c574879b53aa6bbea0132bb630678229bce98638f4b000e0
The file with that name on SourceForge now has a sha256 of:
34821b8f460bdb7aba8eb882353bacbd01671bfb8057649ffcdce7f7ffa4a21d
Although released on August 8th, the timestamps on SourceForge
imply the source distribution was overwritten on August 28th.
MacPorts' change logs show it had promptly taken 0.14.1 when it
was first released. Hence it is still expecting 0.14.1 to have a
checksum matching the original source release tarfile.
My search of this mailing list turned up a build engine glitch
that was resolved around the 28th; along with the apparent lack
of any "respin" discussion, it seems the overwriting might have
been an overlooked accident.
Can the source distribution with the correct (original) checksum
be put back up?
