Hi all,

We have a few internship and fixed-term employment contract
opportunities for software engineer positions to work on the
development of scikit-learn and related open source projects.

The position involves contributing to scikit-learn in collaboration
with the project community via the usual channel (pull request and
code reviews on github) as well as working one more specific open
source projects with industrial partners.

We are looking for candidates with strong software engineering skills
and with good knowledge of either numerical analysis, statistics,
machine learning and / or the scientific Python ecosystem (NumPy,
SciPy, matplotlib, Cython etc). Prior experience in contributing to
open source projects especially in Python and scikit-learn is a strong
plus.

We have taste for:

- simple, readable code that run fast with limited memory usage,
- trying to fix the choice of algorithms and data-structures before
trying fix the implementation,
- consistency in API design and naming conventions,
- testing automation and ever increasing test coverage,
- documentation and running examples,
- fixing the problem in upstream projects when possible.

Engineers working at Parietal are encouraged to participate actively
in tech conferences such as EuroScipy, EuroPython and PyData.

If you are interested please send an email to myself and Gael Varoquaux (in CC),
