Unfortunately, OSX+GTK is a (partial) port of GTK 1 only. It is also a very quiet project. Hence, my ultimate aim is to use the Cocoa framework and only use GTK+OSX as scaffolding. I will over time factor out dependency on GTK+OSX.
These are for input methods for non-European languages and could be_gdk_ic_attr_destroy _gdk_ic_attr_new
commented out for an initial implementation.

This is something that goes away for GTK+ 2.x where there are iconv equivalent calls provided by GTK+.
Are they core or can they be commented out for an initial build?
