I don't know what you mean by "Scintilla doesn't like the
Windows(TM) Key". Are you trying to use Window+C to perform a copy? Or
invoke your macro with the Window key?

Neil,

continental keyboards have one or even two special keys to the left (and right) of the spacebar that invoke the Start button of the task bar since Win95. Another special key invokes the context menu. English keyboards don't have these keys. Not being a mouse fan I find them very convenient, but most likely it is prescribed by a European norm as about everything overhere ...

I believe most keyboards have these keys, they are now even used in Linux... (KDE at least)

I don't think Neil didn't knew these keys, he just doesn't see how they are related to Scintilla.

Indeed, the main Windows key is rarely used within applications, being used either to call the Start menu (when used alone) or for some system shortcut (display desktop, start Explorer or Run dialog box, call System properties, and so on).

Some programs like Hotkeys 2000 are able to use this key to start programs or run macros, but in general, this key is used in global context, ie. whatever the current application is running.

I suppose that theoritically we can add the Windows key to the list of modifiers like Ctrl or Alt, but I am not sure it is such a good idea.

Note that the context menu Windows key works with Scintilla.
