Hello fellow editoree (?)!

Hi :)

What language are you using? Unlike every other SciTE expert, I'm
sure, I do NOT use every single language from Ada to Z: no, I just use
SciTE to edit Python, glance at HTML and CSS, study text files and
textish stuff.

I want to use haXe (<haxe.org>). The more I learn about it the better
I like it -- great for web stuff. It compiles for the Neko VM
(<nekovm.org>) so it can be used on the server either on its own or as
an Apache mod, and for the client it supports both JavaScript (it
"compiles" to .js) and the current FlashPlayer (support for the new FP
VM is planned -- *much* faster, will make Flash really interesting).
The advantage obviously is that you can use your classes for both
server and client work, plus it's better (IMHO) than Flash's
ActionScript.

You usually have to get rid of emboldening in the particular
language properties file as well (Main Menu|Options|Open
Python.properties, for instance).

All bold settings are gone now, thankfully.

What special unboldened font are you needing to use so badly?

Our designer made a beautiful font (which uses a neat hack to allow
him to set individual pixels to specific grey scale values), and he
made a monospace version for coding -- there's no bold face yet,
though. Think of it as a beta-test for a font.

I
personally find the "Bitstream Vera Sans Mono" set extremely
satisfactory. Freely available from Gnome.org, I recall.

Yeah, I usually use Vera, too. I need to take that specific font for a
run, however, and I actually like it better than Vera. Great
readability, distinct glyphs.
