Thanks!  I should have mentioned that I've done that already.  I just
wanted to ask for a short-cut so that accented characters are recognized
as "normal" characters independent from the language.

TeX allows character @ in identifier names.  However, the definition of
word.characters.$(file.patterns.latex) could make use of $(chars.alpha)
nevertheless, IMHO.  Instead it repeats all upper case and lower case
letters.  I don't know if other language properties files do it the same
redundant way.  But anyway, I've learned how to solve my problem.
