Nathan, try installing libgtk2.0-dev then. That's the package for Ubuntu (at
least in my release, 7.04, but the name shouldn't have changed).
Yeah -- I found it now. I wasn't sure if "-dev" was a standard thing and I
didn't see it in Synaptic for GTK... turns out that I had some settings wrong
in Synaptic and couldn't see the whole list. Thanks to everyone for helping me
figure this out!
