Hi,
My university recently bought a lab full of Acer wt300 Terminals
w/smartcard readers. They asked me to investigate the possibility of
moving all the student stations to use smart cards for logins. To this end
I am looking for suggestions on internal smart card readers for PC's that
work well in Linux and in Windows, that are compatible with the cards read
by the wt300 (ISO 7816). What flavor/version of linux is the best in terms
of smart card compatibility? How does the smartcard authentication work
exactly- is it capable of checking against NIS entries? Does it work with
pam?
Thank you in advance for any advice/information.
