Hello,

I just got ahold of a Gemstar reader, sent free to read a Target
(department store) credit card, with a Gemstar smartcard chip in it.

Out of curiosity, I decided to hook this up to my Linux machine and
see what happened. Delightfully, pcsc-lite and gp-core compiled just
fine, and the test program detects the card when it is inserted. So
as far as I can tell, everything is working perfectly.

So here's my absolutely stupid question...

What do I do now? What can I do interesting or exciting with this
cardreader and smartcard-enabled credit card? I'm fairly easily
entertained, so any kind of clever hack or programming is exciting
enough to keep me busy for an evening...

I've looked around on the MUSCLE pages and other places on the Web,
and most of the talk seems to be about smartcards that are much more
powerful than the one built into a credit card. Is there anything
interesting I can do with the one I happen to have?

  Thanks for any pointers!
