Hi Deb,

You could use the GemPC430 from Gemplus. The driver is under a mixed 
GPL/BSD license. The source code is available on  
http://ludovic.rousseau.free.fr/softwares/ifd-GemPC/ifd-GemPC.html. I 
use it on Mac OS X for a java-based application through OCF and the PCSC 
wrapper available on MUSCLE and it works well.
