Release 0.6.1 of OpenSC is now available. It's mainly a bug-fix release,
but there are also some feature improvements. Here's the NEWS entry:

New in 0.6.1; 2002-03-20; Juha Yrjl:
* Fixed certificate downloading in pkcs15-init
* Improved PKCS #11 module, so it works with Mozilla 0.9.9 and
  is capable of signing and decrypting mails in Netscape
* Other various small fixes and improvements

Head to http://www.opensc.org for tarballs.

A short (and very incomplete) list of things to do before 0.7.0 hits the
shelves:
        * The web site needs a facelift (any volunteers? =))
        * DSA key handling, only non-native for now
        * Support for non-native RSA private keys (for storing to e.g.
          memory cards)
        * New PAM module (actually a more generic authentication
          solution; will support LDAP and/or user home directories for
          certificate retrieval) -- almost done
        * A SIA module for Tru64
        * Config file parser -- almost done
        * Migrate PKCS #15 profile files to use the parser
        * Finish card drivers for TCOS and MioCOS cards
        * CT-API reader support
        * Possibly write GUIs with QT for PKCS #15 generator et al.
        * Possibly port to MacOS X (need a Mac for this) and Win32 (need
          a volunteer =))

Cheers,
Juha Yrjl
