I tried to set up the pcsc daemon under Linux (Debian/Woody) with a GemPC410 reader, but got back the following: pcscd: readerfactory.c:1037 RFInitializeReader: Attempting startup of GemPC410 0 0. pcscd: readerfactory.c:820 RFBindFunctions: Loading IFD Handler 2.0 pcscd: GemPC410Utils.c:41 (GemPC410) OS string: GemCore-R1.21-GM pcscd: GCCmds.c:393 (GemPC410) Unknown GemCore command pcscd: GemPC410Utils.c:46 (GemPC410) Setmode failed pcscd: ifdhandler.c:98 (GemPC410) OpenReader failed pcscd: readerfactory.c:1065 RFInitializeReader: Open Port 1 Failed pcscd: readerfactory.c:191 RFAddReader: GemPC410 init failed. pcscd: pcscdaemon.c:257 main: PC/SC Lite Daemon Ready. The reader works with Windows. I tried using the Debian packages: libpcsc-perl 1.1.1-1 libpcsclite0 1.0.2.beta5-1 pcscd 1.0.2.beta5-1 What's wrong?
