In which case the Setmode command is disabled. I think you used the reader before under Windows. Can you try to unplug the PS2 cable (power) of the reader and retry? The Debian package pcsc-tools provides the pcsc_scan [1] command. The command is very usefull to test if a reader is working or not. > What's wrong? You are not supposed to use windows and then Linux without powering off you computer (or at least powering off your reader) :-) I may patch the driver or just patch resetGemPC410 (stand alone program in ifd-gempc-0.6.x/GemPC410/ source directory) if it is a real problem.
