There is no such file on my CD.

No install.txt. see above.

I understand that all linux software does not come in rpms. I made the
(false?) assumption that since you said redhat support and linux
installer you meant rpm. In any case, there are no (obvious) shell
scripts or files named unix, linux etc on this cd.

raptor{jaiger}$ find /cdrom | grep -i bin
/cdrom/CardProfile GXP211PK/layout.bin
/cdrom/CardProfile GXP211v2/layout.bin
/cdrom/CardProfile GXPLite-Generic/layout.bin
/cdrom/CardProfile GXPPro-R3/layout.bin
/cdrom/Kernel/Jdk 1.2.2/layout.bin
/cdrom/Kernel/layout.bin
/cdrom/Patch EnhancedCryptoDES/layout.bin
/cdrom/layout.bin
raptor{jaiger}$ find /cdrom | grep -i nix
raptor{jaiger}$ file /cdrom/Kernel/layout.bin
/cdrom/Kernel/layout.bin: data

I'd actually prefer non-rpm since I'm using Debian anyway.
