Try switching the interfaces around so that eth0 will be eth1 and eth1 will be eth0. Seriously, if that doesn't work you could setup an alarm to let you know when the connection goes down (like Nettest) and when its down check the lights on your cable modem to make sure you still have connection there. -Ryan
