I have all the Suse 9.0 Professional ISO's on the FTP site. Read the copy information
before you download them. There are only 3 connections allowed at a time on the
server, so limit yourself to a single connection.

Subject: [sclug-generallist] OLUG Suse ISOs / January Meeting / Spam

Slugsters!!

I will try to start pulling the Suse 9 ISOs over to our FTP server starting
Wednesday night. If anyone has already got some of the ISO's, email me at
work (my address is "bjh at willconsult dott com") and work with me to drop
CDs for me at my workplace.

We only have 256K or so of download bandwidth on our FTP server (sometimes
Evertek bumps it up for short periods), so use an FTP client that will
continue an existing download if interrupted. I will post when we have
ISO's available on the server. I can also burn ISO's for people to hand
out at the next meeting (Saturday, Jan 10th @ 2 PM).

We need a topics/presentations for the January meeting. Does anyone have
any ideas or requests? A new volunteer would be great. Is there any
interest in having someone review and demonstrate a couple distributions
and/or setting up and using some of the system update tools (ie Debian,
BSD, etc)?

This discussion list's moderators are now getting a lot of spam so we are
going stop moderating the list. For now, if you post to the list from an
email address that is not subscribed, your post is going to be rejected,
lost, and/or destroyed. I am going to look into setting up a process that
will verify messages from unsubscribed posters by making the poster verify
the post before it is accepted by the list. I will get on that right after
I finish up the final tabulation and posting of the November War Drive
Contest (you be the judge of how soon that will occur, hehe).

Brion.
