with nvidia cards you have to download the kernal to get 3d working, do you have to do the same thing for ati cards? are there any good 3d cards that you don't have to do a kernal update like with nvidia. looking at setting up new system and want the 3d to work "out of box" also the 3d card can't cost a huge amount in the range of $50-200
