Hey Slugsters,

Our FTP server has become swamped providing ISOs to folks from way beyond our group. Not exactly what I intended to run on my home connection. I have tried a few tricks to reduce the bandwidth and number of connections, but heavy downloading continued. As a last resort I had to change the password. If you want the password send me a request at bjh at deadpacket dot com. Feel free to share the password amongst yourselves, just don't post it on the mail list again.

Can anyone offer suggestions for a good, secure FTP server which provides bandwidth limiting, multiple domain support and a separate password file/authentication for itself? I am currently using an old version of the ncFTPd (e.g a version prior to the licensing change for .orgs).

Thanks,
Brion!!
