I for one know of a network that could really use some intrusion detection run on it. I am certain that we will see every example one would be looking for if we ran it on the school system network. Besides that, it is the same place we hold the meetings... : )
What I would like to see the month after is ways to secure networks from the intrusions that one might find. I can almost guarantee that I can supply the needed hardware to do it, even having different teams using different distros and tools..... Jake -----Original Message----- From: Ted Kat. Currently there are three phases that need to presented. 1. Installing snort and other software as needed. (rpm & source) 2. Setting up snort to do IDS. 3. How to interpret snort's data. (tools, reports, and email?) Also I want to show off some basic utilities that newbies might find handy. What do you cats think? ===== Ted Katseres ---------------- sclinux.org ---------------- __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo!
