Also, I spent some time today at InfoTec2005 in Omaha. I met one of the guys from OLUG there. Nice person and they definitely have a good thing going there. Much praise to them for having a booth and getting what seemed like a good chunk of interest.
Also, I have an idea for an upcoming project. I've been using Bacula (http://www.bacula.org) for awhile at home and it works pretty damned well. I've been putting together a little presentation about it but I'm definitely not anywhere near being done quickly. Given that, for the next meeting, I propose a nice backup lab. We can go over some basics like mt, dump, restore, etc. etc. and then cover something like Bacula. If we do it as a lab, I think everyone will learn a lot more. We'll need some equipment (like a SCSI tape drive, machine with a SCSI controller, appropriate cables, blank media, sacrificial goat and attendees) lined up before hand and tested so we're not troubleshooting a dead SCSI tape drive.
Thoughts?

Hello All,
We are scheduled for a meeting this Saturday at the
School District Office building. Seeing how I have almost nothing
lined up for this thing I propose we meet for a "Lunch With the Penguin"
Talk shop, discuss future meetings and kick around some ideas about
getting new( blood ); for presentations.
Is there a bar & grill with WiFi? What do you cats think?
