Here's a draft project status report for our sponsoring communities. Please send me any corrections or additions by COB Friday February 7th.
I noticed that the Tools community is now endorsing our project. Should testing-discuss get a copy of the status report? mike -- To: on-discuss at opensolaris.org, tools-discuss at opensolaris.org cc: scm-migration-dev at opensolaris.org Subject: SCM Migration status update SCM Migration[1] project status Since our January report, we've mostly been working on bug fixing and getting our task list[2] under control. We should have a tentative schedule in the next week or so. We've also been identifying new bugs as a result of alpha testing by the project team. Jim Carlson has joined the project team. He'll be helping with technical work, and he'll be driving the migration of ON to Mercurial. We had been planning to replace our "recommit" implementation with something that should be simpler and more reliable. But the new code can trigger a Python regexp problem (which we mentioned last month) and a couple other problems, so we are currently planning on using the current recommit code. The plan for this month is basically to finish the schedule, at least for the initial tools putback milestone, and start attacking the critical path.
