Merging sd.c again, it's equally cumbersome.
The change Dave proposes below doesn't seem to help much, if at all (unless I'm
missing something)
Using
$ zenity --text-info --filename <sd.c>
We can see that a not unreasonable amount of the delay appears to be within
GTK. It's possible that we're also provoking it somehow, but I can't see
where.
Don't suppose any of Sun's JDS folks want to take a look? (both at gpyfm, and
gtk)
